I admit, I don't expect this book to be a very intriguing and interesting thing to read. I am not very attracted to the cover and thinking the contents won't be good either. At first, I am not planning to finish the entire book but as you can see -- I did and now I am making a review out of it.

I am not going to spoil anything to you guys. I wanted you to read this book yourselves and find out how really amazing this is.

Do you want a book that has a new world to be discovered? Well, look nowhere because this book has it all. An entire different world has put up and shared to us. Brandon Mull surprised me on how creative he was. My breath was taken away and I couldn't stop reading this book.

The book is well written and described. Aside from the main character, Jason Walker, it also focuses on another one -- Rachel. So it was not a boring thing to read because it has another one to accompany us in the adventure. His quest is very interesting and cool creatures and characters. Humors are fairly combined in the book so there are times I was laughing and giggling. There are parts that you have to continue reading on what will happen next. It was never boring for me. I enjoyed it every single chapters.

Amazingly, everything in this book are freshly new to our eyes and into our imagination. Just as I mentioned earlier. There were lots of things here that are very imaginative and creative, from the unusual creatures, new race of characters and stuffs used in Jason's dangerous journey.

The main villain is one of the best one here aside from my many favorite characters here in this book. He was a purely evil man! He instead killing them instantly, he preferred to toy them, until they are broken. Creepy way of destroying your enemies.

The vocabularies are very good! Constructive and definitive. Though I disagree this book is in Middle Grade genre (ages 8-12). There were lot of deep meaning words applied to the story, challenging words, in short. So, I found the enunciation is applicable for older teens and adults, and certainly not for ages 10 and below.

Violence are quite detailed and very bold. Describing the exact detail of how it was killed or tortured. I do accept the fact that some middle grades are allowed to read a hint or a few violence in the book they're but in this case, for me it is a no-no.

Aside from the humorous scenes, maturity is still contemplated on the book. I like the line, "A lie twice is self-deceived". There are lot more of this if you read it yourself. And this book promotes learning and sorting of information, it is very helpful, if may I say so.

I do recommend this book for teens rather than for middle grades audience, I suggest that instead including this one in YA, so does in my TBR pile. I am so stupid from doubting such a tremendous adventure! You won't regret this one, because this adventure is limitless and surely wanting it more! I am so excited for the next one and the third. I am going to buy this copy for myself! Brandon Mull is one of the best storytellers of all time! Salute! :]

*I received this free eGalley via from publisher Aladdin via Simon and Schuster Galley Grab in exchange for my honest review. Thanks guys!^^
