Summary

All year the half-bloods have been preparing for battle against the Titans, knowing the odds of a victory are grim. Kronos’s army is stronger than ever, and with every god and half-blood he recruits, the evil Titan’s power only grows.

While the Olympians struggle to contain the rampaging monster Typhon, Kronos begins his advance on New York City, where Mount Olympus stands virtually unguarded. Now it’s up to Percy Jackson and an army of young demigods to stop the Lord of Time.

In this momentous final book in the New York Times best-selling series, the long-awaited prophecy surrounding Percy’s sixteenth birthday unfolds. And as the battle for Western civilization rages on the streets of Manhattan, Percy faces a terrifying suspicion that he may be fighting against his own fate.

* * * * * * * * * *

This book really is the last one of Percy Jackson's amazing adventures. The fifth and final installment of the famous series and best-selling book, Percy Jackson and The Olympians. In such honesty, I really don't want to end this book. Anyway, let's begin to see how great this book is:

It all started on The Lightning Thief. It was definitely the bomb! I admit it, I really love the first book. On the next and so as the rest of the series, the book turns darker and darker. The last book really is the most intense and dangerous part of all. Why? All of the chapters are filled with such excitement, humor, danger, tear-jerking moments and surprising revelations.

The Characters. Thanks the gods! Each series, Percy and his friends grows very maturely and they are still lovable. Percy became much pretty cooler here. There are familiar characters returned and some few new ones are introduced.

Remember, Rachel Elizabeth Dare from the fourth book, The Battle of The Labyrinth? Well, this time she'll be having a very much important role unlike her on the fourth one (the mortal who helped Percy, Annabeth and Grover to survive inside the labyrinth).

The Plot. Love it from start to finish. It is intensely well put and described. I was really deep in thought of Percy's stunts here, so as the others who really contributed to the story. It was like watching a movie on a book. Humor was never left behind, it is still there and it never stopped me from laughing. There are also lots of tear-jerking experience here, sacrifice is the word I can give about this. Revelations? Heck yeah! It's a lot in here and you'll be surprise to know what could it be.

Percy and Annabeth? You are guessing how both ended up. Because at the first book, nothing really matters on both of them, right? In each series, they are starting to get attached little by little. Funny, I haven't know what will happen on them both until I finished reading this book. I suggest you need to read this book and I am sure you'll be surprised. :]

Ending? I hated to admit it but Percy's adventure really is over (I did mention this earlier, right?). But in a weird way, I don't think this book ends here. There is a book called The Heroes of Olympus: The Lost Hero with the same author, Rick Riordan. It is not any Percy Jackson anymore, it is new but Camp Half-Blood is still there. I think it is connected, duh, obviously! LOL

Highly recommended book for those who love Percy Jackson. A completion of your collection of books as well, cuz I have completed myself and I am so proud of myself to share it to you guys! Go get one and surely you won't be disappointed! I salute to Mr. Rick Riordan for making such awesome, adventurous and exciting book! :]

Summary

Percy Jackson's fourth summer at Camp Half-Blood is much like his previous three—high-octane clashes with dark forces, laced with hip humor and drama. Opening with a line for the ages—The last thing I wanted to do on my summer break was blow up another school—this penultimate series installment finds Percy, Annabeth and the satyr Grover furiously working to prevent former camp counselor Luke from resurrecting the Titan lord Kronos, whose goal is to overthrow the gods. When the heroes learn that Luke can breach Camp Half-Blood's security through an exit from Daedalus's Labyrinth, they enter the maze in search of the inventor and a way to stop the invasion. Along the way they encounter a lifetime supply of nightmare-inducing, richly imagined monsters. Grover's own quest to find the lost god Pan, meanwhile, provides a subtle environmental message. Percy, nearly 15, has girl trouble, having become something of a chick magnet. One of Riordan's strengths is the wry interplay between the real and the surreal. When the heroes find Hephaestus, for instance, he's repairing a Toyota, wearing overalls with his name embroidered over the chest pocket. The wit, rousing swordplay and breakneck pace will once again keep kids hooked

The Battle of the Labyrinth, the fourth installment of the best-selling series of The Lightning Thief. This one hits the label of awesomeness! This is the quite thrilling continuation of the book. There are even more action than the usual.

Just like the title represents, it was filled out of an adventure, dangerous and deadly! More and more exciting and living up to your expectation. Percy is becoming more mature, but still hints of funny humor, in which you will love him even more! The storyline became intensely appealing.

I especially appreciate the fact that Riordan manages to make the young characters grow up convincingly as modern teens. Which is good, of course.

The maze is the highlight of the book. However, I didn't felt the whole maze, it sounded not so difficult to figure out. It's like they went pass through this and that, not until they found help on someone (spoiler!), I watched some movies about mazes and puzzles and I definitely saw how hard and annyoing it could be when you're in one, but this one is missing something. They don't seem so lost in the book, but the adventure inside the maze, fighting and escaping is actually entertaining.

I haven't mentioned on my Titan's Curse review, the relationship between Percy and Annabeth. Well, this one creates a different kind of vibe between them. Especially the part where Annabeth did something unexpected to Percy, I can't help but to giggle. It appears in my description, both of them change what they see on each others eyes. Very intriguing isn't it? I'd better let you off to this one and see for yourselves. On the other hand, Grover's own problem will be put to the test.

The ending send a hard twist, which you will be wishing to read the next part/book. I haven't read it but I have high hopes to see all the great results to the final installment of The Lightning Thief series.

I recommend this book to all, not by just to read the next part but is a great one. The adventure was thrilling and I was never bored. Thanks the God for this book! :]

I give this offering to the Gods and to the person behind this book. All hail to Rick Riordan for making this third book! I simply adore this part of the series. It was amazingly constructed with the same right amount of everything! The action, the adventure, comedy and the others as well.

The story always keeps the fire going. New characters are always available and you will never put your eyes out of this one. It kept me wondering how is this happen? Or how in the world did he/she do that. There were lot of twists on the story that keeping you asking what is it and you had to find it out. I know you loved the first and the second book, and I am definitely sure you'll love this one more than ever.

I must say, Titan's Curse is my most favorite part of the series. This book is crawling out off the darker side which is more exciting than ever. I loved the thrilling scenarios inside this book. And the part where Thalia was mentioned in first two books. But this one was defined her perfectly. Funny, sarcastic and tough.

The story includes the character of a Hunter, Zoë Nightshade. To put it out, she is not as ordinary as the others. Her way of speaking is quite odd. The best part is when she and Thalia had arguments which results to a amusing moment. If your wondering who she was, better read it yourself. I am noting going to spoil it for you.

There are tear-dropping parts that you should never miss as well.

Do I recommend this one? Heck yeah! If you haven't read this, you're missing out the adventure! It's a brilliant read! :]

Summary

After a summer spent trying to prevent a catastrophic war among the Greek gods, Percy Jackson is finding his seventh-grade school year unnervingly quiet. His biggest problem is dealing with his new friend, Tyson, a six-foot-three, mentally challenged homeless kid who follows Percy everywhere, making it hard for Percy to have any normal friends. But things don't stay quiet for long.

Percy soon discovers there is trouble at Camp Half-Blood: the magical borders that protect Half-Blood Hill have been poisoned by a mysterious enemy, and the only safe haven for demigods is on the verge of being overrun by mythological monsters. To save the camp, Percy needs the help of his best friend, Grover, who has been taken prisoner on an island somewhere in the Sea of Monsters, the dangerous waters Greek heroes have sailed for millennia. Only today, the Sea of Monsters goes by a new name: The Bermuda Triangle.

Together with his friends, Percy must retrieve the Golden Fleece from the Island of the Cyclopes or Camp Half-Blood will be destroyed. But first, Percy will learn a stunning new secret about his family, one that makes him question whether being claimed as Poseidon's son is an honor or simply a cruel joke.

This book is a great sequel for The Lightning Thief. I had the urge to know what would be the next story was.

The Sea of Monsters contains improvements of the characters, which means Percy became more likeable and so as the others as well. Of course, Percy and Annabeth's relationship is starting to get interesting. The action and adventure, drama and the humor still has it.

Mr. Rick never fails from adding up some new and intriguing characters. One of them is this new found friend of Percy -- Tyson. I am not going to spoil who he was actually. But he had a great part of the story.

Although, this book is not the same as the first one. It does not have much excitement, in some parts of the story. I guess I expected too much because the first one is a bomb, KA-BOOM! Grover don't have much appearance, but I thought this is a price where you get to know well the other new ones. But plot of of the story makes the most out of it.

Well, this book has tons of funny and hilarious moments, dialogues et cetera. It actually leaves me laughing and laughing. There are thrilling twist and discoveries that you won't gonna miss.

I do recommend this book but I won't score it a high five. But you should read it especially the people who love the sequel of The Lightning Thief.

Summary

Percy Jackson is about to be kicked out of boarding school...again. And that's the least of his troubles. Lately, mythological monsters and the gods of Mount Olympus seem to be walking straight out of the pages of Percy's Greek mythology textbook and into his life. And worse, he's angered a few of them. Zeus's master lightning bolt has been stolen, and Percy is the prime suspect.

Now Percy and his friends have just ten days to find and return Zeus's stolen property and bring peace to a warring Mount Olympus. But to succeed on his quest, Percy will have to do more than catch the true thief: he must come to terms with the father who abandoned him; solve the riddle of the Oracle, which warns him of betrayal by a friend; and unravel a treachery more powerful than the gods themselves.  With cover art from the major motion picture, this first installment of Rick Riordan's best-selling series is a non-stop thrill-ride and a classic of mythic proportions.

*******

A not-so-ordinary life of a boy named Percy. He was not as normal as the others. He often got kicked out of school because of his behavior. But all through his life, there are bigger things about him that he didn't expected.
I found about this book when the movie came out. The word Olympian swiveled instantly in my head -- meaning, Greek Gods. I have a small interest about those, but enough of that. I refused my self away from the movie first because I want to know the real details of the story. The book is a total bomb! KA-BOOM! Unexpectedly bizarre! I loved how Mr. Rick combined the two: Ancient Greek and modern day of life.

The story is really fresh. How would you expect Greek Gods are living in the modern life? How sick is that? The concept of the story is well thought out, I imagined how he (Mr. Rick) sum things up and results to a great story. The storyline never puts you to sleep because it is well-balanced -- the action, drama, adventure and of course the humor. From the start until the end of the book, was drowning with action-pack adventures that sends you out in excitement.

Mr. Rick created such wonderful characters, that will take your interest and attention. Each of them has a history to tell, which is very intriguing to read. Percy is one thing about the book, other than he is  the main character of the story. Imperfect. Normal like anybody else except he has the ability to control the element of water. Having an ADHD and Dyslexia is such a burden to carry. That might be so hard. But despite of those, he was a hero. He results to be an inspiration. And definitely, most kids would be able to relate to him.

The book is a great start to this series. Amazingly thrilling experience to read but at the same time, highly educational. You will realize you already know something about Greek Mythology. Awesome, isn't it? I do recommend you guys to read this book. This will be worth of your time. And not to mention the Gods and Goddesses, including the beastly, ugly monsters putting it up to a new set of story. KA-BOOM! :]
