Summary

Percy Jackson's fourth summer at Camp Half-Blood is much like his previous three—high-octane clashes with dark forces, laced with hip humor and drama. Opening with a line for the ages—The last thing I wanted to do on my summer break was blow up another school—this penultimate series installment finds Percy, Annabeth and the satyr Grover furiously working to prevent former camp counselor Luke from resurrecting the Titan lord Kronos, whose goal is to overthrow the gods. When the heroes learn that Luke can breach Camp Half-Blood's security through an exit from Daedalus's Labyrinth, they enter the maze in search of the inventor and a way to stop the invasion. Along the way they encounter a lifetime supply of nightmare-inducing, richly imagined monsters. Grover's own quest to find the lost god Pan, meanwhile, provides a subtle environmental message. Percy, nearly 15, has girl trouble, having become something of a chick magnet. One of Riordan's strengths is the wry interplay between the real and the surreal. When the heroes find Hephaestus, for instance, he's repairing a Toyota, wearing overalls with his name embroidered over the chest pocket. The wit, rousing swordplay and breakneck pace will once again keep kids hooked

*******

The Battle of the Labyrinth, the fourth installment of the best-selling series of The Lightning Thief. This one hits the label of awesomeness! This is the quite thrilling continuation of the book. There are even more action than the usual.

Just like the title represents, it was filled out of an adventure, dangerous and deadly! More and more exciting and living up to your expectation. Percy is becoming more mature, but still hints of funny humor, in which you will love him even more! The storyline became intensely appealing.

I especially appreciate the fact that Riordan manages to make the young characters grow up convincingly as modern teens. Which is good, of course.

The maze is the highlight of the book. However, I didn't felt the whole maze, it sounded not so difficult to figure out. It's like they went pass through this and that, not until they found help on someone (spoiler!), I watched some movies about mazes and puzzles and I definitely saw how hard and annyoing it could be when you're in one, but this one is missing something. They don't seem so lost in the book, but the adventure inside the maze, fighting and escaping is actually entertaining.

I haven't mentioned on my Titan's Curse review, the relationship between Percy and Annabeth. Well, this one creates a different kind of vibe between them. Especially the part where Annabeth did something unexpected to Percy, I can't help but to giggle. It appears in my description, both of them change what they see on each others eyes. Very intriguing isn't it? I'd better let you off to this one and see for yourselves. On the other hand, Grover's own problem will be put to the test.

The ending send a hard twist, which you will be wishing to read the next part/book. I haven't read it but I have high hopes to see all the great results to the final installment of The Lightning Thief series.

I recommend this book to all, not by just to read the next part but is a great one. The adventure was thrilling and I was never bored. Thanks the God for this book! :]
